Clarity Privacy Policy
Clarity is an iOS app built by Agent Science and Research. This policy explains exactly what the app collects, where it goes, and what we can and cannot see. It describes what the app actually does, not what we might one day do.
What Clarity collects
Your studies
The problems, graphs, notes, and experiments you create are stored on your device and synced through your own private iCloud account. They travel between your devices through Apple, not through us. Agent Science and Research cannot read your iCloud data.
Sign in with Apple (optional)
If you choose to sign in, Apple gives us a user identifier, plus your name and email if you allow it. We use this only to associate your studies across your own devices. The app is fully functional without signing in, and you are not asked to create an account to use it.
Subscription status
We store whether you have an active subscription and the Apple transaction identifier needed to unlock Cloud Reasoning and count your monthly usage allowance. Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Cloud Reasoning content
When you use a cloud AI feature, the relevant part of your graph and your prompt are sent to our server, which forwards them to Anthropic to generate a response. This content is not used to train any model. On-device intelligence never leaves your device at all.
A random device identifier
Your device generates a random identifier used purely to count free-tier usage against the monthly limit. It is not linked to your name, your Apple ID, or any other identity, and it contains no personal information.
What Clarity does not do
- No advertising, no ad networks, and no advertising identifiers
- No analytics or behavioural tracking SDKs
- No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties for their own use
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking
- Your study content is never used to train AI models

How long we keep things
Your studies stay until you delete them. Usage counters reset each billing period. After a Cloud Reasoning request completes, we keep no copy of your study content.
Your choices
- Use the app without signing in at all
- Use on-device intelligence only, so nothing is sent anywhere
- Delete any study at any time
- Request deletion of your account data by emailing us
Children
Clarity is not directed at children under 13.

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page and note anything material.
